Surprises...they can be so much fun! 

 

Tell a child you have a surprise for him, and his face will light up like a Christmas tree.  Throw a friend a "surprise" party, and she'll never forget it - even if she "doesn't like surprises."  Yet surprises aren't always fun.  Sometimes they can mean being blindsided or caught off-guard.  Sometimes they can mean uninvited guests or unsolicited advice.  As followers of God, what are we supposed to do when life blindsides us?  How are we supposed to react when we're caught off guard by circumstances that disrupt our plans and challenge our thinking?  Is it possible to work around the unexpected challenges of life or even use them to help fulfill God's plan for our lives?
