The most interesting thing about this type of introduction, or lack thereof, is when he calls I never have to stop and ask who is calling.  I've spent so much time with him, I don't have to see who it is, I already know.  I simply need to hear his voice. 

How do you know that God is speaking to you?   When you spend time with him in prayer, you will begin to know and identify His voice.  Consider how Samuel first heard God's voice, he did not know it was God the first time.  In fact, Samuel needed help from someone who knew God to help him understand that God was speaking to him. 1 Samuel 3:2 - 11

I'm taking this opportunity to tell you this because the more time you spend with God, the more your children will learn through your example.  Teach them young to know God's voice.  So when they are older, they won't have to learn to hear God's voice, they'll already know it's Him when he calls!
