What's the difference between CRAVE and CRAVEmore?
CRAVE is a WEEKLY contemporary Bible-social that meets on Sunday nights and that is open to every young adult in the community. CRAVE is relevant, casual, interesting, and loving - you're sure to feel right at home on your first visit!
CRAVEmore is a MONTHLY, art-filled presentation of the gospel with music, drama, and video used as illustrations on cutting edge topics that are relevant to young adults living in the real world. Who knew The Bible could be this entertaining?
WHEN and WHERE do you meet?
CRAVE: Sundays from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at area Starbucks
Palmetto Bay Road, Piggly Wiggly, and Pineland Station
CRAVEmore: The first Friday of every month at 8:00 PM
Central Church [rm. 133]
Who goes there?
Young Adults (18-30) - whether you're in college, starting a career, single, married, a long-time Christ-follower, a little curious about God, or even if you just think someone from CRAVE is cool, you're welcome!
What do you do?
At CRAVE we study the Bible each Sunday night through contemporary DVD curriculum from some of today's leading teachers (Rob Bell, Erwin McManus, Andy Stanley, Ed Young). Our meeting formats are interactive, which means you don't have to be a Bible scholar to relate to the discussions. We all teach one another: "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17
At CRAVEmore, WE PARTY!!!
Each month we attempt to discover innovative and creative ways to discuss and relate to the Truths of God. We use different forms of art, such as music, drama, dance, and short films, to help convey the message of Christ in relevant ways. We party with our house band, laugh with one another, enjoy free drinks and snacks, and leave changed! Oh...and it's free!
I go to another church or don't go to church at all - why should I go to CRAVE and CRAVEmore?
We meet because we like hanging out with each other, supporting each other, even loving each other. Let's face it! Young Adults are faced with challenges and obstacles that are different than our more seasoned (read: older) counterparts. If we're going to make the most of our youth and seize our potential, we've got to recognize that the world is screaming for our attention and that it's offering a life that is a complete contradiction to the life God has planned for us. But we don't have to fight these battles alone! We serve as a support system for one another, and we're winning the war!
